In his article "Innovation in trouble" Published by Erhvervsbladet
May 14th 2008, Michael Müller interviews both Bendt Apollo Rasmussen
(Danish Rehabgroup), Rikke Kastbjerg (Danish Handicap Association)and
Annette Krath Poulsen (AKPdesign) to get their views on innovation
in health care products. The article debates the dilemma that
Danish manufacturers are unwilling to take risk on innovative
design products for health care because the public buyers are
focusing on low price. At the same time end users - people with
disabilities - are demanding better and more beautiful assistive
technology and are willing to pay extra for high quality. Annette
Krath Poulsen explains how she has been forced to choose partners
